Xiaomi Mi Max 2 with Snapdragon 626, 12MP Sony IMX378 sensor, 5000mAh battery could be announced in May

Specifications of Xiaomi Mi Max 2, the second-generation phablet surfaced back in February. Last week a Xiaomi smartphone condnamed Oxygen surfaced in benchmarks. This is said to come with the same 6.4-inch 1080p display, but this is said to be powered by Snapdragon 626 processor instead of Snapdragon 650 or 652 on the Mi Max variants. Earlier it was rumored to be powered by Snapdragon 660 SoC.

This is said to come with a 12-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX378 sensor, the same sensor that is used in the Xiaomi Mi 5S. It is said to come in 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage versions.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is expected to be announced next month, few weeks after the introduction of the Xiaomi Mi 6 flagship smartphone that will be announced this month.
