Reliance Jio ties up with Viom Networks to share telecom tower infrastructure
Reliance Jio Infocomm, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has entered into a pan-India tower infrastructure sharing agreement with Viom Networks, a joint venture of Tata Teleservices and SREI Infrastructure to use the latter’s telecom infrastructure with a footprint of over 42,000 telecom towers for their 4G roll out. Reliance Jio gets unified telecom license across India
Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL), a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited has announced that it has received unified License for all 22 Service Areas across India. This would allow RJIL to offer all telecom services including voice telephony under a single license. It is the only pan India operator with Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) spectrum across 22 circles capable of offering fourth generation (4G) wireless services. Reliance Jio to increase headcount, reveals 4G plans
Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of the Reliance Industries has revealed details about the Reliance Jio and 4G launch plans at the 39th Annual General Meeting in Mumbai today. Last year the company first revealed its plans for 4G. Now the company has revealed that they would increase the Reliance Jio Infocomm team by nearly 10,000 professionals nationally over the next year. Bharti and Reliance Jio sign agreement for international data connectivity
Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel today announced that they have a signed an Indefeasible Right to Use (IRU) agreement that will let Reliance use Bharti’s i2i submarine cable connecting India and Singapore. The cable consists of eight fibre pairs and uses Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) to provide bandwidth ranging in multiple terabits.
