Reliance Jio Infocomm, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) already said that it plans to launch commercial 4G around December. Now a new report from Bank of America Merrill Lynch says that it expects a small scale launch of Reliance Jio Infocomm’s 4G services by the end of December in select areas, especially in Mumbai, according to ET. Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) today reported its quarterly financial results that ended 30th September, 2015. Reliance Jio already announced that it plans to launch 4G services by December 2015 and introduce 4G smartphones below Rs. 4000 during that period. Reliance Jio ties up with Viom Networks to share telecom tower infrastructure

Reliance Jio Infocomm, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has entered into a pan-India tower infrastructure sharing agreement with Viom Networks, a joint venture of Tata Teleservices and SREI Infrastructure to use the latter’s telecom infrastructure with a footprint of over 42,000 telecom towers for their 4G roll out. Viom Networks is India’s largest independent telecommunications infrastructure company. Under the agreement, Reliance Jio would utilize the telecom tower infrastructure of Bharti Infratel to launch its services across the country, says the company.
