India smartphone market declined by 1% YoY in 1H22: IDC

In 2Q22 (April through June), 35 million smartphones were shipped in India, a 3% year-over-year (YoY) increase, while the first half of 2022 saw just a 1%YoY decline to 71 million units, according to statistical data from the International Data Corporation’s (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker. IDC reports record 46.6 million India smartphone shipments in Q3 2019, 9.3% YoY growth

IDC India has reported a record 46.6 million units for smartphone shipments in Q3 2019, which calculates to a 9.3% YoY growth and a 26.5% growth compared to the Q2 this year. This record was largely due to the multiple online sales festivals, new smartphone launches and price corrections on many important models.
