Android Oreo adoption rate climbs to 12.1%, Nougat is now on 30.8% devices

Google is out with Android distribution numbers for the month of July and Oreo adoption rate has climbed up to 12.1% which includes both Android 8.0 and 8.1. Google’s Project Fuchsia OS said to be successor to Android

It is widely known that Google is working on called ‘Project Fuchsia,’ which is an experimental OS for tablets and phones. However, Bloomberg reports that Fuchsia could replace Android and Chrome OS within the next five years. It is being designed to accommodate voice interactions and frequent security updates. Google warns change in Android business model post $5.04 billion EU penalty

The EU has fined Google with a $5.04 billion for forcing its apps on Android manufacturers.
