Nokia and Xiaomi sign multi year patent agreement and cross licensing deal

Nokia and Chinese handset maker Xiaomi Technology have signed a multi-year patent licensing agreement. Xiaomi also acquired patent assets from Nokia as part of the transaction. The deal also includes a cross license to each company’s cellular standard essential patents.

Xiaomi confirms Android Nougat update for range of smartphones

Xiaomi has released the list of 14 smartphones that will get Android Nougat update. The list includes 10 smartphones that will get Android 7.0 update and four smartphones that will get Android 7.1 update. Most of these smartphones were released running Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow).
