Vi hikes prepaid tariffs after Airtel; plans now start from Rs. 99

After Airtel’s announcement yesterday, Vodafone Idea (VI) has revised its  tariff plans for prepaid users in India. Vi’s plans are almost the same as Airtel, so the the base plan now starts at Rs. 99, a 25% hike and the other plans have seen a hike of about 20%. Qualcomm confirms easier-to-follow branding starting with upcoming Snapdragon 8-series platform

Truecaller clocks 300 million monthly active users globally

Truecaller today announced that it has crossed 300 Million monthly users globally. This comes after it crossed 250 Million monthly users a year back, so it has added 50 Million new users globally since October 2020. After revising  its postpaid plans back in July, Airtel today hiked its prepaid plans, which now start from Rs. 99 for a 28-day plan, which is a 25% increase. Google Pixel 6a with 6.2-inch OLED display, in-display fingerprint scanner, dual rear cameras surface

Google introduced the Pixel 5a smartphone back in August, but it was limited to  U.S. and Japan. Today, the first renders of the upcoming Pixel 6a has surfaced, thanks to @OnLeaks. This shows a 6.2-inch flat OLED screen with a centre punch-hole, compared to a 6.34-inch screen in the Pixel 5a. It also shows an in-display fingerprint scanner. Redmi Note 9 Pro Max MIUI Software Update Tracker [Update: MIUI 12.5.3.0 with October 2021 Android security patch]

Xiaomi’s Redmi launched the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max in the country a couple of months ago running MIUI 11.0 Global Stable on top of Android 10. Xiaomi doesn’t follow any fixed update frequency for the MIUI Global Stable ROM but on average, the Global Stable ROM is updated once in a month.

MediaTek and AMD unveil AMD RZ600 Series Wi-Fi 6E Modules for laptops and PCs

AMD has partnered with MediaTek to unveil their newest Wi-Fi solution, called the AMD RZ600 Series Wi-Fi 6E modules. It features the MediaTek Filogic 330P chipset inside and is designed to power the next-generation AMD Ryzen-series laptop and desktop PCs starting 2022 onwards.
