Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 310 Unboxing

Back in March this year Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab 2 310 at Samsung Forum in Thailand. The device is a 7 inch Android tablet running on latest version of Android 4.0 ICS and packs 16GB of internal memory.It supports both 4G and WiFi functionality. We managed to get hold of the retail unit as it as gone on sale in India this week. Watch the unboxing video below.

Vodafone new 3G post-paid plans


Vodafone has reduced the price of their 3G plans for post-paid customers as well. They launched new 3G plans for pre-paid customers last week.  Rs. 100 plan now offers 300MB of 3G data usages similar to the new pre-paid plan. Samsung has launched Music Hub, integrated, all-in-one mobile music service. The Music Hub offers your music in one integrated mobile and web service. You can upload your music collection to the cloud and can also enjoy personal and genre radio and discover new music everyday with customized recommendations from 19 million songs. It would compete with Spotify that offers music streaming, Google Music that lets you upload music to the cloud and Apple iTunes Match. LG to roll out Android 4.0 update for Optimus LTE, Vu and Tag in June

LG has announced that the they would start rolling out Android 4.0 update for Optimus LTE, Optimus Vu and Optimus Tag in June. LG announced the list of devices that would get ICS at the end of last year. Along with the Android 4.0, these phones would come with LG’s new Optimus UI 3.0 they would bring new and enhanced key features, including Quick Memo, unique unlock functions, Voice Shutter, new camera features and more. Nokia 808 PureView goes on sale in India for Rs. 29999 [Update: Not yet]

Galaxy S3 Pebble Blue version delayed due to quality standards says Samsung

Samsung launched the Galaxy S3 in 28 countries in Europe, Middle East, and North Africa today, but only the Marble White version would be available most of these regions. Samsung has sent a official statement to MobileFun that it is delayed since it did not meet internal quality standards in the Pebble Blue version that comes with newly invented blue colour and special hyper-glaze material.  We already told you that the Pebble Blue version is delayed in India and is expected only in second week of June. Samsung Galaxy S2 Android 4.0 update starts rolling out in India

Samsung has finally started rolling out the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update in India. Samsung announced the list of devices that would receive the Android 4.0 update last December and started rolling out ICS update for Galaxy S2 in Europe earlier this March. The Samsung Galaxy Note started receiving ICS update last week in India. They started shipping Galaxy S2 with ICS in India earlier this month. Intex iTab now available for Rs. 8900


Intex has reduced the price of their iTab that was launched in March for Rs. 11,900.  The Intex iTab has 8-inch capacitive display and is powered by 1 GHz cortex A8 core processor. It runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It has front video calling camera and a 3.5mm audio jack. It has 8GB internal memory which is expandable upto 32GB. Samsung Galaxy Y CDMA now available in India for Rs. 7490

Samsung Galaxy Y CDMA is now available in India from online retailer Flipkart. Samsung launched the Galaxy Y in India last October and the Dual-SIM Galaxy Y Duos earlier this February. It has 3-inch (320 x 240 Pixels) display similar to the GSM version but has 600 MHz processor instead of 832 MHz processor and comes with a 2 MP camera at the back. Samsung launches Galaxy S3 in 28 countries, to be available in 145 countries by July

Samsung has officially announced that it has launched the Galaxy S3 in 28 countries today in Europe, Middle East and Africa including, United Kingdom, France, UAE and Saudi Arabia. They plan to launch in a total of 145 countries across 296 carriers by July. This is more than that of the previous Galaxy S series phones. The Galaxy S was launched in 112 countries with 175 operators and the Galaxy S2 was launched in 135 countries with 210 operators. Lava XOLO X900 Review

Intel had been one of the earliest players in the mobile chip sphere with its Xscale line of processors for PDAs. Having sold the division to Marvell in 2006 , the company had for all practical purposes ditched mobile computing.

Then came their effort with Moorestown , based on the Lincroft system-on-a-chip with an Atom processor core, Langwell input / output Platform Controller Hub(I/O PCH), and a Briertown Power Management IC. However due to the lack of proper power management , video encoding and decoding among others meant that the SoC was not feasible for deployment in a phone. What it did lead to is the Medfield processor. This is a true x86 processor chip which will shipping in a number of devices by the end of 2012.
