Apple is offering a 14-day, no-questions-asked return policy for all content purchased through iTunes, according to 9to5Mac. The latest offer is only available in certain cities of Europe.

The new policy applies to all items purchased through the App Store, iTunes, and iBookstore in the U.K., Germany, Italy, and France. To receive a refund, buyers can either use Apple’s online “Report a Problem” tool or send a physical cancellation form to the company’s European headquarters in Luxembourg. Apple will process the refund in two weeks’ time after it receives the cancellation notice from the customer.
Prior to this, Apple’s policy on returns was that customers could return without charge and without giving any reason until delivery of the product has started. Apple’s new policy does not cover gift cards or gifts on iTunes and hence cannot be returned. This new refund policy also appears to be part of a new consumer rights directive in the EU. Google still has not added a 14-day return policy for apps and other purchases to the EU incarnation of its Play Store, said the report.
