Airtel has partnered with Nokia Networks to deploy FDD-LTE on 1800 MHz in six new (Mumbai, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab and West Bengal) circles across India, as expected. Last year Nokia Networks grabbed a 3G contract from Bharti Airtel that included India-first dual band, dual carrier 3G network implementation. Dropbox has bought Pixelapse, a startup building collaboration tool for designers, for an undisclosed amount. Founded in 2011, Pixelapse will work towards integrating its service into Dropbox over the next year.

HTC has launched Desire 526G+ Dual Sim, the company’s latest smartphone in the Desire series. It has a 4.7-inch (960 x 540 pixels) display, is powered by a 1.7 GHz Octa-Core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with HTC Sense UI. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. HTC has partnered with Snapdeal to sell the smartphone. The burgeoning giant in the smartphone space, Xiaomi, today finally launched its flagship handset in India. Dubbed the Mi4, it is the successor to the very popular and usually sold out Mi3 handset that was launched in India earlier last year. It’s been a long while coming and today we finally got a chance to touch and feel the handset in our own grubby paws. Does the phone stand out amongst its competitors? Xiaomi just launched the Mi 4 smartphone in India, as expected. It was announced back in July last year, packs a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display with 441 PPI, based one-glass solution (OGS), is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and runs on MIUI 6 on top of Android 4.4 (KitKat). Apple has reported all-time record revenue of $74.6 billion with a record net profit of $18 billion in their earnings for the financial year Q1 2015 that ended December 27, 2014. Revenues were up 30% and earnings up 38% year-over-year. The international sales in this quarter is 65% of the quarter’s revenue, up 5% up compared to last quarter. Apple sold a record 74.5 million iPhones, compared to 23.4 million over last year, representing 46% growth, 21.4 million iPads, compared to 26 million year-over-year and 5.5 million Macs during the quarter. Asus has announced Zenfone C (ZC451CG), the company’s latest budget smartphone in the Zenfone series in Malaysia. It has almost similar specifications as the Asus Zenfone 4 (A450CG) that was launched last year, but the camera has been downgraded to 5-megapixel and the battery has been upgraded to 2100mAh.
