According to the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Wearable Device Tracker, vendors shipped a total of 11.4 million wearables in 1Q15, a 200% increase from the 3.8 million wearables shipped in Q1, 2014. This is wearable market’s eighth consecutive quarter of steady growth in the first quarter of 2015 (1Q15).

Apple has announced for a global recall for its Beats Pill XL speakers sighting fire safety risk due to overheating of battery in the speaker in rare cases. This does not affects Beats Pill 2.0 or any other Beats or Apple products, says the company. It was introduced by Beats by Dre in November 2013. Apple acquired Beats for $3 billion in 2014. The Bluetooth speaker was sold through Apple Retail Stores and major retail stores, Apple.com and Beatsbydre.com from January 2014 through June 2015. Micromax has launched Canvas Tab P690, the company’s latest tablet with 3G connectivity via SIM slot and voice calling capabilities. Early last year, Google introduced the Open Automotive Alliance.
