ZTE yesterday announced Blade A910 and Blade V7 Max smartphones in China. The Blade A910 has a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED display, is powered by a MediaTek MT6735 SoC and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with MiFavor 3.5 UI. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the back. The ZTE Blade V7 Max has a 5.5-inch 1080p display, is powered by an Octa-Core processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a fingerprint sensor on the side. Both the phones have dual SIM support and 4G LTE connectivity.

Apple announced something really different last month when it launched the iPhone SE along with smaller iPad Pro 9.7. We saw a smaller iPhone being unveiled for the first time and it has already hit Indian shores. This is, in fact, the fastest launch of an iPhone in India if you consider the global announcement and the market availability here.
The first thing you notice about the iPhone SE is how small and light it is. In a rapidly changing mobile phone market we have quickly forgotten that phones with 4-inch screens did exist and were quite popular for a long time before phablets started emerging. Lenovo’s ZUK today introduced Z2 Pro, the company’s flagship smartphone at an event in China. It has a 5.2-inch 1080p Super AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display with 1.41mm narrow bezel on the side, is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 820 SoC and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with ZUI 2.0 on top that also lets you sync with Apple’s iCloud. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and hybrid phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) that can focus in 0.1 seconds and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. LeEco yesterday announced three new smartphones – Le 2, Le 2 Pro and Le Max 2 that replaces the 3.5mm audio for USB Type-C audio. It also introduced its own CDLA (Continual Lossless Digital Audio) technology for an enhanced audio experience. At the event it also introduced new earphones and noise-cancelling headphones. The noise-cancelling headphones draw power from the phone over USB Type-C so it doesn’t need a battery.
