Xiaomi is growing at a phase that no one would have imagined. The company has sold over 10 Million units in October 2017 for the second month in a row. The total shipments of the company now crossed over 70 Million units for the first ten months of this year, thus surpassing the target set for 2017, said Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s founder, and CEO.

Micromax is all set to launch Canvas Infinity Pro smartphone, an improved version of the Canvas Infinity that was launched in August. We got hold of the image of the box of the phone. This shows 5.7-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass screen with 18:9 aspect ratio and minimal bezels, similar to the Canvas Infinity. The phone will come with dual front-facing cameras, compared to a single 16-megapixel front camera on the predecessor, which will be the main highlight of the smartphone. Panasonic has launched Eluga A4, the company’s latest budget smartphone in the ‘A Series’ with 5000mAh battery. It has a 5.2-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor, runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat), has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Facebook has rolled out gif-supported polls feature that now lets you add gifs and photos as poll answers instead of old-school text options. Facebook has added stickers as polling options to Stories feature on Instagram just last month. Facebook seems to have borrowed the feature from Twitter which lets you add four gifs, unlike just two on Facebook.

T-Mobile and Sprint have said they have ceased discussions to merge into a single entity since they could not find mutually agreeable terms. Both the companies have been open to idea of merging for the past few years. Back in September there were reports of talks of merger, later in October new reports said that the companies might announce a merger by the end of the month, but Sprint eventually pulled out due to ownership concerns.

Global tablet market continues to decline, and in the third quarter of 2017 (3Q17), it declined 5.4% year over year with total shipments of 40 million units, marking the twelfth consecutive quarter of annual decline, according to the latest report from International Data Corporation (IDC). This is due to growing demand for smartphones, combined with the lengthening replacement cycle of tablets and strengthening position of traditional PCs, said IDC.
