Huawei at the IFA 2018 announced that it has sold 10 million units of P20 Pro and P20 smartphones globally in the first five months. It also introduced new variants in the P20 series. It also said that it has shipped over 10 million units in the Mate 10 series.

Huawei at the IFA 2018 announced its flagship Kirin 980 7nm SoC with dedicated dual neural network processing units. At the end of the event it also confirmed that the Mate 20 series – Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro powered by Kirin 980 will be announced at an event in London on October 16th, same date as last year’s Mate 10 series.
Huawei at the IFA 2018 announced Kirin 980, its next-generation processor of high-end devices and the world’s first commercial mobile SoC manufactured with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturer Company’s (TSMC) 7nm proces and with dedicated Dual Neural Processing Unit (NPU). It is an Octa-Core SoC with two ARM Cortex A76 Cores clocked up to 2.6GHz for Turbo performance, two ARM Cortex A76 Cores clocked up to 1.92GHz for Long-lasting performance and four ARM Cortex A55 Cores clocked up to 1.8 GHz for power efficiency. After signing agreements back in March last year, Vodafone India and Aditya Birla Group’s telecom arm Idea Cellular have announced that the merger has been completed. Idea Cellular has been renamed as ‘Vodafone Idea Limited’ and the service provider has subscriber base of over 408 million (as of June 2018) with 1 RMS in 9 circles, broadband network of 340,000 sites, and widest distribution reach with 1.7 million retail outlets. Motorola has finally announced the Motorola One and One Power Android One smartphones at the IFA in Berlin. Both the phones have a large 19:9 aspect ratio display with a notch, but only One Power comes with a FHD+ display, while the Motorola One features an HD+ display and is powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC. Both the phones have dual rear cameras and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor with a Motorola logo. These run Android 8.0 (Oreo) and the company has promised Android 9.0 (Pie) update as well as Android Q update for the phones, as well as security updates for three years from the initial global launch date.
After Apple announced its exclusive event on September 12th, press images of the 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch OLED models have surfaced, and these are expected to be called iPhone XS. These are expected to come in new gold color option. Earlier rumors revealed that all the iPhone models will have a notch, Face ID with gesture-based control system and new A12 processor.

The Reddit user who posted the image said that the device was part of a testing program through a carrier other than Verizon, even though earlier rumors said that it will be Verizon-exclusive.
