JioFiber launching on September 5 – Plans start from Rs. 700, free landline with unlimited calling, free TV and 4K Set-top box with annual plans

Reliance Jio at its 42nd annual general meeting (AGM) in Mumbai announced that Jio Fiber will roll out commercially starting from September 5th, 2019 on the third anniversary of Jio’s launch. This will reach 20 million residences and 15 million business establishments in 1,600 towns and will expand in the next 12 months, said Mukesh Ambani. It started trials  for JioGigaFiber services from August 15th last year.

Samsung introduces 108MP 1/1.33-inch ISOCELL Bright HMX image sensor for smartphones in partnership with Xiaomi

Samsung just announced its 108MP (12032×9024 pixel resolution) ISOCELL Bright HMX 0.8-micrometer (μm) pixel image sensor, the first mobile sensor to go beyond 100 million pixels and is also the first mobile image sensor to adopt a large 1/1.33-inch size. This is the result of close collaboration between Xiaomi Corp. and Samsung, which was announced last week. HONOR Vision 55-inch 4K HDR TV with HarmonyOS, Pop-up AI camera, 6.9mm slim metal frame announced

HUAWEI’s HONOR brand just announced its Vision TV, which is the company’s first smart TV at the Huawei Developer’s Conference (HDC) 2019, as it had promised. It has a 55-inch 4K screen with HDR support and 94% screen-to-body ratio, thanks to three-sided borderless full-screen design. It is powered HONGHU 818 quad-core SoC and runs the company’s latest HarmonyOS that offers multi-device interaction.

Xiaomi Mi 9S 5G smartphone with 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 855 Plus, up to 12GB RAM gets certified

Xiaomi introduced the Mi 9 flagship smartphone back in February this year. Now the 5G version of the with the model number M1908F1XE has been certified by TENAA in China. This has the same 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLD screen, but this is said will be powered by Snapdragon 855 Plus combined with Qualcomm’s X50 modem for 5G connectivity and pack up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. It will come with a larger 4000mAh battery, and 3C certification confirmed 45W fast charging compared to 27W fast charging in the predecessor.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A Android 9.0 Pie-based MIUI global stable update starts rolling out

Xiaomi launched the Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 smartphones in India last yera running MIUI 9.5 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo) update, and the stable MIUI 10 OTA update for the phones rolled out soon after the launch. In February, the company started recruiting beta testers for testing Android Pie based MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM for various devices but didn’t announce update plans for Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A, later, the company announced that both the smartphones will receive Android Pie based MIUI Global Stable ROM. Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Octa-Core SoC gets benchmarked, beats Apple A12 Bionic in multi-core performance

Details about the upcoming Snapdragon 865 SoC from Qualcomm surfaced back in May, later in June, another rumor said that it will  come in two versions condenamed ‘Kona’ and ‘Huracan’, one with integrated X55 5G modem and the other one without it.
