Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A with Snapdragon 805 reportedly launching in Korea soon

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S5 LTE-A in Korea in partnership with local SK Telecom soon, according to a report from Korea’s Yonhap News. Samsung launched the Galaxy S4 LTE-A with Snapdragon 800 SoC in Korea few months after it launched the Galaxy S4 with with Snapdragon 600 SoC internationally. The Galaxy S5 LTE-A would come with a Snapdragon 805 chip and would support LTE Advanced that would offer speed of up to 225 Mbps, faster than 150 Mbps on current LTE-A service in Korea. Hike Messenger surpasses 20 million user mark

Bharti Soft Bank’s hike messenger has crossed 20 million users of which 5 million were added during last three months. The instant messenger announced in February that its had clocked 15 million users.

Samsung Galaxy S5 to reportedly get Android 4.4.3 update this month, S4 will follow in July

Samsung Galaxy S5 users will soon get the latest Android KitKat 4.4.3 update. It was reported last month that these two devices are being tested for the update. According to a leaked internal document found by Android Geeks, the update for Galaxy S5 is coming this month.

It packs a 4.5 FWVGA display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Micromax has entered into the Windows Phone market with Canvas Win W092 and Canvas Win W121 in the Canvas Win series. The company partnered with Microsoft earlier this year to launch Windows Phone 8.1 smartphones. These are powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processors and run on Windows Phone 8.1. The Canvas Win W092, an affordable Windows Phone handset has a 4-inch WVGA IPS screen, a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The Canvas Win W121 has a 5-inch HD display, a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It also has leather finish back panel. Flipkart to reportedly sell its own DigiFlip branded tablets

Flipkart is planning to sell its own tablets that will be branded under its private label DigiFlip, according to a report from The Economic Times. The biggest India e-commerce giant had sold accessories like headphones, speakers and pen drives under the DigiFlip brand that was launched in 2012.

Samsung’s first Android Wear Smartwatch spotted at FCC?

After LG and Motorola, it looks like Samsung is the next company which is making a smartwatch that is powered by Google’s Android Wear. SammyToday has spotted a smartwatch filing by Samsung that was posted on FCC website. Dubbed SM-R382, the FCC documents reveal that the smartwatch is smaller than than the Gear 2 by 10 mm / 0.39 inches.

Xolo rumored to be launching a very light smartphone at budget pricing

Indian manufacturers are known for creating value for money smartphones that offer most of what higher end smartphones offer, but all that in a much more affordable package. Xolo is one among them and it is the first company to produce an Intel chip powered smartphone. The company has fallen behind other Indian brands like Micromax and Karbonn, but is still producing budget Android smartphones.
