Huawei has announced that they would launch Ascend G300 and Ascend Y200 Android Smartphones in India this month. The Ascend G300 has 4-inch ( 800×480 pixels) display and is powered by 1GHz processor. It has 5MP auto focus camera with LED Flash. The Ascend Y200 has 3.5-inch (320×480 pixels) display, 800 MHz processor and 3.2MP camera. Both these phone run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Facebook for Android v1.9.7 brings option to use front-facing camera, new messaging features
Facebook for Android has been updated to version 1.9.7 that lets you use the front-facing camera on your phone to capture images. This version also removes support for Android 2.1 (Eclair) and works only on Android 2.2 (Froyo) devices and up. TRAI issues draft regulations on Quality of Service for mobile data services
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released draft regulations on Standards of Quality of Service for Mobile Data Services Regulations. There is no quality of service standards for the mobile data services compared to wired Internet such as broadband. TRAI has decided to benchmark the quality of service parameters for mobile data services such as 2G, 3G and the 4G LTE services based on BWA (Broadband Wireless Access) spectrum.
