Huawei Ascend W1 with 4-inch display, Windows Phone 8 announced

Huawei has finally announced the Ascend W1, the company’s first Windows Phone 8 device. This has a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) WVGA IPS LCD display with OGS Technology that reduces the light consumption to make the screen brighter and more vivid, 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with Adreno 305 GPU. It has a 5 MP auto focus camera at the back with LED flash and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera. It has a 1950 mAh battery with unique power saving technology to save 30% of power. Simmtronics XPAD X-801 8-inch Android Tablet with voice calling launched for Rs. 8499

Simmtronics has launched XPAD X-801, their new Android tablet with 2G SIM card slot and voice calling support. The company launched the XPAD X-720, their first tablet with a 7-inch display in India last month. The XPAD X-801 has a 8-inch (800 x 600 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display, 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 2MP rear camera, and a VGA front-facing camera. It comes with pre-loaded apps such as Youtube, PDF file viewer, Documents To Go, Sound Recorder, Skype and more. Polaroid iM1836 Android-powered interchangeable lens camera announced

Polaroid has announced iM1836, the first interchangeable lens (mirrorless) Android camera at CES 2013, produced by Sakar International. It has a 18.1 megapixel sensor and comes with interchangable 10-30mm optical zoom lens and also accepts micro Four Thirds system lenses in other mirrorless cameras. Acer has finally announced the Iconia B1-A71, their new affordable 7-inch tablet running on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) at CES 2013. It ha a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Mediatek MT 8317T processor. Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 and 600 quad-core processors announced, offers speeds up to 2.3 GHz

Qualcomm has announced Snapdragon 800 and Snapdragon 600 series at CES 2013. The Snapdragon 800 is the high-end processor that has quad core Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU. It would offer speeds of up to 2.3 GHz per core and up to 75 percent better performance than the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processors. It can also play UltraHD or 4K videos and has built-in 4G LTE Cat 4 and 802.11ac support. The Snapdragon 600 series has quad-core Krait 300 CPU running at up to 1.9 GHz and Adreno 320 GPU that offers 40% better performance than the Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. The company has also announced Snapdragon 400 series of processors for mid-range phones and Snapdragon 200 series aimed at entry level smartphones. Corning has unveiled the Gorilla Glass 3 at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013 as they announced earlier. It comes with Native Damage Resistance (NDR) that offers enhanced scratch resistance, reduced scratch visibility, and better retained strength once a scratch occurs. Sony Xperia ZL with 5-inch 1080p display, 1.5 GHz quad-core processor announced

Sony has announced Xperia ZL at CES 2013. This is a variant of the Xperia Z for select markets, and packs in similar features as the Xperia Z including a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Reality display with mobile Bravia Engine 2, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor with Adreno 320 GPU and a 13MP camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor for HDR images and video. It is not water or dust resistant like the Xperia Z and doesn’t have a glass back, but comes with a glowing LED indicator below the display. It comes with PlayStation Mobile support. It has a 13MP camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor for HDR images and video. It has IP55 and IP57 ratings for dust and water resistance and has PlayStation Mobile support. LG demos Panorama Note for Optimus Vu 2 at CES, coming to select Optimus devices in 2013

LG has announced that they would demonstrate Panorama Note, a new feature for the Optimus Vu 2 at CES 2013. The Panorama Note would let uses create extra wide 3:1 ratio memos and drawings directly on smartphone displays. The Wide 3:1 ratio image provides free hand drawing or jotting notes easy. LG Optimus devices already have Q memo to jot quick note, but the Panorama Note feature has 5.8 times zooming capability, easy navigation both horizontally and vertically, and mini map to make large notes. Lilliputian Systems unveils Nectar Mobile Power System, single Nectar Pod promises 2 weeks of power

Lilliputian Systems, a company based in U.S. has announced Nectar Mobile Power System at the International Consumer Electronics Show 2013. The Nectar Mobile Power System is a portable charger, but it doesn’t use a battery that are used in conventional chargers. It uses an unique Nectar Pods cartridge that has been approved for carry-on and use aboard regular commercial aircraft by the UN International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and U.S. Department of Transportation. It offers 55000 mW-hours of energy providing 2+ weeks of power, which is about 10 charges for a typical smartphone. NVIDIA unveils Tegra 4 with quad-core A15 CPU, 72 GPU Cores

NVIDIA has announced Tegra 4 processor for smartphones and tablets that has 72 GPUs cores and 4 ARM A15 CPU cores at CES 2013. It also comes with an optional 4G LTE chipset. NVIDIA is calling it the fastest mobile processor in the world. The Tegra 4 tablet takes 24 seconds to load 25 unique web pages, twice faster than the Nexus 10 that has a dual-core A15 CPU. The Tegra 4 slide leaked last month revealing the features.
