Lenovo K900 Intel Clover Trail+ powered smartphone expected to launch in India on May 10

Lenovo K900, the first Intel Clover Trail+ powered smartphone that was unveiled at the CES 2013 would be launched in India on May 10th for a price tag of less than Rs. 25,000, according to a report from NDTV Gadgets. This is the first smartphone to be powered by a dual-core Intel Atom Clover Trail+ CPU. The ZTE GEEK with a similar processor was announced earlier this month. The Xolo X1000 that was launched last month was expected to come with the Clover Trail+ CPU, but it had a 2 GHz Intel Atom Z2480 processor. The Lenovo K900 has a  5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display with at 419 PPI pixel density and Gorilla Glass 2 protection and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). LG Optimus GK with 5-inch 1080p display, quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor announced

LG has announced the Optimus GK, the company’s latest Android smartphone in the Optimus series. This has a  5-inch (1920×1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display, powered by 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ 8064 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) similar to the Optimus G Pro (L-04E) that went on sale in Japan earlier this month.  It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. LG Optimus F5 global roll out begins April 29 starting from France


LG unveiled the Optimus F5, an affordable LTE phone earlier this at the MWC 2013. The company has announced that the Optimus F5 would roll out globally starting from France from tomorrow. The Optimus L5 has a 4.3-inch (960 × 540 pixels) IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz Dual-Core processor and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). Lava to launch a new tablet running Android 4.2 next month

Lava Mobiles has announced that it would launch their first tablet running on the latest Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The company launched the E-Tab XTRON, Lava’s first Android tablet running Android 4.1 back in February, which topped most of the benchmarks when compared to other 7-inch tablets. Evernote has updated the Evernote Hello app for Android to version 1.4 that brings new features including Hello Connect that uses audio tones to identify other nearby Hello users and join everyone together. If you’re in a loud environment, you can always switch to manual mode and share the four digit Hello Connect code to add a person. Alcatel One Touch launched the One Touch Idol and One Touch Idol Ultra Android smartphones last week in India for Rs. 15800 and Rs. 21000 respectively. Now the Alcatel One Touch Scribe Easy (8000D) is available in India from online retailer Snapdeal. It was announced at the MWC 2013 earlier this year and packs a 5-inch (480 x 800 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display, powered by a dual-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, 720p HD video recording and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It has HD sound and dedicated touch pen and magnetic MagicFlip. Samsung to launch ruggedized Galaxy S4 Active, 8-inch Galaxy Tab coming in July, says WSJ


Samsung is expected to launch a ruggedized version of  the Galaxy S4 that is likely to be called the Galaxy S4 Active, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal. It will be waterproof and dust proof, but it would look similar to the Galaxy S4, according to the report. It also says that the device would be launched this summer.  According to a report techview.me, Young Soo Kim  – President Samsung Gulf has confirmed that the ruggedized  Samsung S4 would be announced in the coming weeks. Micromax Canvas series smartphone sales surpass 1 million units

Micromax has announced that the company has sold over 1 million units of their flagship Canvas series of smartphones. Micromax launched the A100 Superfone Canvas back in August 2012, and the launched it’s successor, the A110 Canvas 2 back in November last year. The company unveiled the A116 Canvas HD with a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display and a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor back in January, which was the most successful device in the Canvas series. The Galaxy S2 got the Jelly Bean update in India earlier this month. The phone saw a huge price drop to Rs. 14,500 in India last month. Samsung announced the list of devices that would get the Android Jelly Bean update back in back in September 2012. Asus launched the Fonepad in India yesterday at a price tag of Rs. 15999. We brought you the unboxing of the device earlier this week. Here are the benchmarks of the device. The Fonepad is powered by a 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Lexington Z2420 single-core processor with Power VR SGX540 GPU. Xolo launched the X500 powered by this processor earlier this year. Google has started selling 32GB WiFi version of the tablet from the official Google Play Store in India. Samsung Galaxy S4 to go on sale in India from the official eStore on 27th April

Samsung is all set to launch the Galaxy S4 in India tomorrow, April 26th. The phone would go on sale from their official eStore on 27th April, a day after the launch, and would also ship on the same day. Samsung would usually start pre-booking for their flagship devices before the launch, but just the registration page went live few weeks back. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S4 at an event in New York last month. The company had already conducted the Galaxy S4 World Tour 2013 in London, Seoul and Hong Kong.
