Samsung G9198 dual-screen Android flip phone with Snapdragon 808 announced

Samsung introduced G9098, an Android flip phone with dual displays in China last year. This year the company has introduced (Via) G9198, an upgraded version with dual 3.9-inch (768 x 1280 pixels) WXGA Super AMOLED screens, one on the front and the the other on the inside along with a T9 keypad. It is powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808, has a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Lenovo A2010 could be India’s most affordable 4G smartphone

Lenovo launched A2010, a budget smartphone with 4G support in Vietnam earlier this month. Now the company is planning to launch it in India as the most affordable 4G smartphone, according to a report from The Economic Times. The ZTE Blade Qlux 4G was launched back in June at Rs. 4999 as India’s cheapest 4G smartphone. Phicomm launched the Energy 653 with better specifications at the same price in India last week. OnePlus 2 Kevlar and Black Apricot Style Swap covers

OnePlus One Bamboo StyleSwap cover was launched in India months after the smartphone was launched in the country. This time the company has decided to launch the Style Swap covers for the OnePlus 2 along with the smartphone. This comes in four options – Kevlar, Bamboo, Black Apricot and Rosewood. Unlike the OnePlus One, the OnePlus 2 doesn’t require any tools to open the back cover. OnePlus also launched flip cover and other accessories in India on Amazon.in.

Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime Benchmarks

Xiaomi launched the Redmi 2 Prime smartphone in India last week for Rs. 6,999. We already brought you the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have the benchmarks. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) SoC that has four ARM Cortex-A53 CPUs clocked at 1.21GHz per core, similar to the Redmi 2, but this has 2GB of RAM. It has a 4.7-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with MIUI 6 on top. Let’s find out how the smartphone performs in a range of synthetic benchmark tests.

The Xolo Black packs a built-in 3200 mAh Li-Ion battery. It supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 1.0 that lets you charge 50% of battery in just 60 minutes. Details about LG and Huawei-made Nexus smartphones surfaced earlier this year. A recent rumor revealed that the LG Nexus (2015) might come with a fingerprint sensor. Now new renders of the smartphone has surfaced on uSwitch from @OnLeaks. These unofficial renders that are created based on factory schematics shows a large camera sensor on the back with dual-tone LED flash, laser auto focus and a circular fingerprint sensor below the camera module.

Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch teased, announcement at IFA on September 3

Samsung did not announce the company’s next Gear smartwatch at the Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event today as rumored earlier, but it teased the Gear S2 smartwatch at the event. Samsung’s teaser shows that smartwatch will have a round display as expected. It also shows a metal casing, which could just be a placeholder. We already know that it will run on Tizen-based wearable OS, similar to the Gear S that was introduced last year.

Samsung has announced the Galaxy S6 edge+ smartphone at the Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event, as expected. It has a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display that is curved on both the sides, is powered by a Octa-Core ( Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.5GHz) Exynos 7420 processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, OIS and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The Quick Launch feature lets you launch the camera in less than one second by double clicking the home button, Auto Real-time HDR and new filters.
