ZTE AXON MAX with 6-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 617, 3GB RAM, fingerprint sensor announced

ZTE has introduced AXON MAX, the company’s latest smartphone in the AXON series in China. It packs a 6-inch 1080p AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass, is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 64-bit processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with MiFavor 3.5 UI. It has a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) for quick focus in just 0.1 seconds and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the back and comes with USB Type-C reversible port.

BlackBerry reports $89M loss in Q3 FY2016, PRIV to be available in 31 countries by Feb 2016

BlackBerry today reported a net loss (GAAP) of $89 million or $0.17 per basic share for the third fiscal quarter 2016 that ended November 28, 2015 on revenues (GAAP) of $548 million. Cash and investments balance was $2.71 billion at the end of the fiscal quarter, including the impact of the recent acquisitions of AtHoc and Good Technology at a cost of $636 million, said the company.

Rockstar games has launched Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories game for iOS devices. It was originally released for PlayStation Portable back in 2005 and was released on PlayStation 3 in 2013. The game has several enhancements for the iOS platform, including real time lighting and shadows, upgraded textures and art, greater draw distance, performance enhancements for touch-based gaming including updated analog steering and rebalanced targeting, cross-platform cloud saves via Social Club, support for Apple’s 3D touch and more, said the company. Evernote today announced that it will pull the plug on its standalone apps such as Skitch for Windows, Windows Touch, iOS, Android, Evernote Clearly and Evernote for Pebble starting today. However the Skitch for Mac app will continue to be available and supported. It acquired Skitch, a popular image annotation application back in 2011 and launched the app for Android, later it was launched for iPad and iPhone.
