Lenovo Vibe X3 with Snapdragon 808, 3GB RAM, 21MP camera launching in India on January 27

Lenovo has started teasing the launch of its high-end Vibe X3 smartphone in India, which is scheduled for January 27th. It was announced back in November last year along with the Vibe X3 Lite, packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display, is powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has a 21-megapixel rear camera with phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) to focus quickly, dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX230 sensor, 4K video recording and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Lenovo Vibe K4 Note Benchmarks

Lenovo launched the Vibe K4 Note smartphone in India at Rs. 11,999 earlier this month, which went on sale earlier this week through flash sale. We already brought you the unboxing and teardown of the smartphone, here we have its benchmarks. It is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 processor (Even though CPU-Z shows it as MT6735) with eight ARM Cortex A53 CPUs clocked at 1.3GHz per core, has Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It has 5.5-inch 1080p screen and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Lenovo’s own Vibe UI on top. Let us check out the synthetic benchmark scores below. Windows 10 Mobile expected to roll out in February

Back in October soon after the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL smartphones running Windows 10 Mobile were introduced, Microsoft said that Windows 10 update will be rolling out for existing Windows Phone 8.1 devices in December. Later it said that the update is delayed till early 2016. Now Venture Beat is reporting that Windows 10 Mobile to current Windows Phone 8 handsets will be delayed by another month. Qualcomm announced SafeSwitch kill switch solution to address mobile security threat, back in September 2014. Earlier this month at the CES it said that it will be working with OEMs to introduce the feature in devices powered by its flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processors. Now it has detailed how SafeSwitch works and also said that devices powered by Snapdragon 820, 620, 618, 617 and 430 will support this feature. OnePlus One has finally got the OxygenOS 2.1.4 update. It brings Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop), new camera support, including slow motion and clear image, new ringtones and more. OnePlus said that MaxxAudio’s proprietary sound technology and relevant applications, screen temperature slider, manual camera mode, RAW file format capability and others that were present in the test version did not make it to the final cut. Microsoft Garage has launched Mimicker Alarm app for Android, which helps you get up and stay up by playing a simple game, called a Mimic. To dismiss your alarm, you must mimic the action given. “We might ask you to snap a selfie, speak a phrase, or even get out of bed! The Mimics require you to be alert, smart, and use yourself and surroundings,” said the company.

Now the same weibo user says that the processor will be based on Samsung’s 10nm FinFET process technology. Samsung recently announced that Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor will use its 14nm LPP (Low-Power Plus) process, the 2nd generation of the company’s 14nm FinFET process technology.
