Coolpad launched the Note 3 smartphone in India back in October last year for Rs. 8,999. Today the company has announced a permanent Rs. 500 price cut for the Black version of the smartphone to celebrate the success of Note 3 voted as the No.1 smartphone in the sub 10k category. Huawei introduced its Jewel and Elegant Android Wear smartwatches for Women at the CES 2016 earlier this year. Both these have a 1.4″ circular AMOLED display, similar to the original Huawei Watch, but these have a larger 44mm dial as opposed to 42mm in the original. The Elegant features a top ring design on a rose-gold plated body, while the Jewel features 68 Swarovski Zirconia encircling the face. Worldwide tablet market declined yet again in the first quarter of 2016 with 39.6 million units shipped, down 14.7% year over year, according to latest report from the International Data Corporation (IDC). This is the sixth straight quarter where tablets have reported a decrease year-over-year. In Q4, 2015 tablet shipment had declined by 10.1%. Two new Sony’s upcoming smartphones, F3216 and F3311 have surfaced in GFXBench. The Sony F3216 has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, similar to the rumored Xperia M Ultra that surfaced recently, but this will be powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P10 SoC.
