Sony Mobile has announced Xperia XA Ultra, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in the new X series. It has a 6-inch 1080p, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 21.5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Hybrid Auto-Focus and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera that also has a LED flash and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) for capturing shake-free selfies. Apple releases iOS 9.3.2 update with bug fixes and security enhancements

LG has launched Stylus 2, successor of last year’s G4 Stylus in India. It has a 5.7-inch HD in-cell touch display, is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a 7.4mm slim body with a metal frame and is just 145 grams. Microsoft Windows 10 Mobile to get fingerprint support this summer

Windows 10 operating system supports fingerprint unlock feature using Windows Hello in addition to face and iris unlock. Microsoft has confirmed at the WinHEC conference earlier this week that it plans to support fingerprint scanners for Windows 10 Mobile as well later this year. Sony Xperia X series will be main focus till 2018, Xperia C and M series cancelled

Sony already confirmed that it is retiring its Z series of smartphones for its new X series. Now reports from Asian tech media confirms that Sony will also end the Xperia C and Xperia M series as well and will concentrate on the Xperia X series, which will be a single brand till 2018. Sony’s upcoming Xperia C6 Ultra is expected to launch as Xperia X Ultra. WhatsApp Video call starts appearing in latest beta for Android

WhatsApp Video Call feature had been rumored since last year, when a couple of leaked images were released by a German website showing video calling feature in action on Android. New strings to translate quite a few things including ‘Video call’ appeared earlier this month. Now WhatsApp has started getting the Video Call option in the latest beta (v2.16.80) that is available through the Google Play Store.

It also has a 2.19-inch display to view the videos and photos and also has dual-band WiFi support to connect to Android smartphones. It has Ambarella A9SE SoC  that supports H.264 codec.
