Telegram v7.2.1 update brings multiple pinned images, improved live locations and more

Telegram has released a new update to its app, bringing the version count on Android and iOS to v7.2.1. The update adds a few new features such as Playlists and Channel post stats, along with some improvements to existing features and of course, new animated emoji, including some Halloween themed ones.

The worldwide tablet market continues to show impressive numbers, growing by 24.9% YoY in the third quarter of 2020, shipping 47.6 million units. Worldwide smartphone shipments reach 353.6 Million units; declining 1.3% YoY in Q3 2020: IDC

As the pandemic restrictions around the world have largely been lifted, the smartphone market worldwide has begun to recover from the massive 16% YoY decline it saw for the last quarter. According to IDC, the market recorded 353.6 million units shipped, which calculates to a decline of 1.3% YoY. The top 5 companies were Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, Apple and Vivo.

AMD Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs based on the RDNA 2 architecture announced

Advanced Micro Devices, otherwise known as AMD, has taken the wraps of their much anticipated next generation graphics cards, called the Radeon RX 6000 series. Three cards were announced yesterday during an event, the 6900 XT, 6800 XT and the 6800, and they are 7nm-based GPUs based on AMD’s newest RDNA 2 architecture, which has also been called as Big Navi.

India smartphone market ships 53 million units; 9% growth YoY in Q3 2020: Counterpoint

The Indian smartphone market has strongly recovered in the third quarter 2020, shipping over 53 million units and growing by 9% YoY. The growth in this quarter comes after a decline was recorded in Q2 2020, which was caused due to the pandemic restrictions. As the restrictions have been largely lifted, the market bounced back quickly, with Samsung in the lead followed closely by Xiaomi.
