In April, Microsoft had confirmed that its dual-screen Surface Neo will not be launching, and along with it came rumours that Microsoft was still developing their Windows 10X operating system. It looks like these rumours have been confirmed to be true as Microsoft is refocussing Windows 10X to work on single-screen devices like laptops.

Intel acquires urban mobility app Moovit for $900 million

Intel’s Mobileye, automotive solutions partner, is getting a boost today as Intel announced their acquisition of Moovit, a mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) solutions company, for $900 million. Moovit will bring over its 800 million users and services in nearly 3,100 cities across 102 countries under Intel’s Mobileye now.

VESA announces DisplayPort 2.0 Alt mode spec for USB4 Type-C connector — 80Gbps speed, support for 8K HDR monitors

The Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) has announced a new spec mode called DisplayPort 2.0 Alternate Mode Standard, that is compatible with the upcoming USB4 specification. This new standard can be fully integrated into the USB Type-C design, enabling a data throughput of up to 80 Gigabits per second (Gbps) of DisplayPort video data or up to 40 Gbps with simultaneous SuperSpeed USB data delivery.

Xiaomi denies claims of data collection in Mi Browser

In a recent Forbes cybersecurity article, researchers claimed to have discovered proof that Xiaomi was collecting a worrying amount of information from its native smartphone browser application. This included not only aggregated usage analytics, but even personally identifiable information. Xiaomi has come out with a statement denying the claims outright, explaining in the blog post about how they do not collect any such information.

Q1 2020 Worldwide tablet shipments decline 18.1% YoY, only 24.6 million units shipped: IDC

Apple settles $18 million lawsuit over iPhone 4 FaceTime issue

Apple has agreed to settle a $18 million lawsuit that was filed over 3 years ago over its handling of FaceTime with users having an iPhone 4 or an iPhone 4s. The claimants argued that the company had disabled FaceTime in the older iPhone models as a cost saving measure in 2014.

Alphabet records $41.16 billion in revenue for Q1 2020, up 13% YoY

Google’s parent company, Alphabet had a strong beginning in revenue for the first quarter of 2020 but later saw a dip towards the end. In an earnings call, Alphabet released its Q1 2020 results, reporting a total revenue of $41.16 billion, that calculates to a YoY growth of 13%. The company saw a dip in its advertising revenue and saw a huge rise in their products like Search, YouTube, and Cloud.

realme Smartwatch with 1.4-inch LCD screen, heart rate monitoring, IP68 water resistant body surfaces
