Sony unveiled the DSC-QX30 camera lens for smartphones at the IFA 2014, a year after unveiling the QX10 and Q100 smart lenses. Sony unveiled the ILCE-QX1, its first Interchangeable lens style camera at the IFA earlier this week. The camera supports a range of E-mount lenses and even has a Built-in flash (GN4 in meters at ISO 100) for better low-light photography. Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy Gear VR at the IFA 2014, in Berlin yesterday. The Samsung Gear VR Innovator Edition is designed to work specifically with the Note 4 to give the users a virtual reality experience on their mobile. Samsung partnered Oculus Rift to create the virtual reality headset.
Samsung announced the Gear S smartwatch last month that runs on Tizen werable OS. We got our hands on the watch at the ongoing IFA. The smartwatch is rectangular in shape and boasts of curved display. The highlight of the watch is built-in SIM card slot that lets you interdependently make and receive calls, without connecting to a device and also offers 3G support.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Note Edge along with the Note 4 at IFA yesterday. The phone has a 5.6 inch (1440 x 2560 pixels) QHD Super AMOLED display that bends on the right side that utilizes 160 pixels and gives you access to frequently used apps, alerts and device functionality even when the cover is closed with the swipe of a thumb.
