Samsung has launched Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7, the company’s latest selfie-focused smartphones with 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash in India, as expected. The Galaxy J5 has a 5-inch HD screen and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC, while the Galaxy J7 comes with a 5.5-inch HD display and is powered by an Octa-Core Exynos 7580 SoC. Both these smartphones run on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with new UI and have a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. New renders of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus have been leaked thanks to a case manufacturer called ITSKINS. These renders more or less confirm the existence of the S6 Edge Plus which some sources had stated to be just a cooked up device. The renders show us the rough design, layout and controls of the devices.

Samsung Galaxy A8 has finally gone official in China after several rumors. It packs a 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with ultra-narrow bezels and has full metal uni-body design, similar to the other A series smartphones and is just 5.9mm thick. It is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 SoC and runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop). It has a fingerprint sensor on the home button. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is probably the hottest smartphones in the rumour section right now and now we have another bit of information that will add fuel to the fire. Apparently the smartphone is set for an early launch and will be announced on August 12th followed by a release on August 14th in major markets.

While Apple had managed to rake in 65% of the smartphone industry’s operating income last year, this year it seems to have done even better as it has managed to take in 92% of all the profits made in the smartphone industry.
Samsung has seen a lot of demand with the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge and while it hasn’t fully turned their fortunes around, it is taking them in the right direction. Now apparently the next generation Galaxy S7 rumours have started showing up. It seems that the Galaxy S7 will be codenamed Jungfrau which is named after the mountain summit in Switzerland.
