Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids Edition Hands On

Samsung had launched the Galaxy Tab 3 in July and they recently announced a Kids Edition of the Tab 3. Galaxy Tab 3 Kids Edition comes with a 7inch display and in a colorful packaging. Check out our quick hands-on video of the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids Edition.

The Galaxy Tab 3 comes with a 7 inch TFT LCD display sporting a resolution of 1024×600 pixels giving it a modest 170ppi pixel density. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and has 1GB of RAM. There is 8GB internal storage and it comes with a microSD card slot for expansion.

There is a 3MP camera at the back and a 1.3MP front camera. It runs on Android 4.1 and comes with a lot of preloaded apps for kids. There is also a Kids’ store where you can find more stuff for kids including games, entertainment, ebooks and education. There are some software features like restricted time usage which lets the parents set time for usage after which a lockscreen appears which can be unlocked by parents or adults. There is also an application manager that lets you manage the applications to which the kids have access to. The Galaxy Tab 3 Kids Edition will be available in a range of colors and there is a nice solid rubber case surrounding the device.
