Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE and Galaxy Tab A7 Lite launching in India on June 18

Update: Samsung has confirmed the launch of Galaxy Tab S7 FE and Galaxy Tab A7 Lite in India on June 18th, and the tablets will go on sale on June 23rd. Both these were introduced last month. The Tab S7 FE features a 12.4-inch WQXGA display with 60Hz refresh rate, is powered by Snapdragon 750G SoC, features an 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, has S Pen support with ultra-low latency and magnetic attachment. HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.6 with WQXGA OLED display, Kirin 9000E, 8 speakers and MatePad Pro 10.8 with Snapdragon 870, HarmonyOS announced

Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite with 8.7-inch WXGA+ display, 4G LTE, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos announced

Samsung today introduced the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, the company’s latest Android tablet. It packs an 8.7-inch WXGA+ TFT LCD screen, is powered by an Octa-core SoC which should be an MediaTek Helio P22T SoC paired with up to 4GB RAM, 8MP autofocus rear camera and a 2MP front camera. It runs on Android 11 with One UI and the tablet packs a 5100mAh battery with 15W fast charging. Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G with 12.4-inch WQXGA display, Snapdragon 750G, S Pen announced

After rumours, Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Tab S7 FE, a cheaper tablet in the S7 series. The tablet was earlier rumoured to be released Galaxy Tab S7+ Lite. It features a 12.4-inch WQXGA display with 60Hz refresh rate, is powered by Snapdragon 750G SoC, features an 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, has S Pen support with ultra-low latency and magnetic attachment. Google is introducing a new app that will vastly improve the Android tablet called Entertainment Space. Similar to how Kids Space is a mode designed for children on Android tablets, Entertainment Space is a one-stop place on Android tablets where users can find all their movies, shows, videos, Games and books.

Worldwide Tablet shipments grow 55.2% YoY, Chromebook shipments grow 357% YoY in Q1 2021

The Online mode of education has become the norm for many schools and education institutions around the world. As a result, the market for Tablets and Chromebooks have seen massive growth numbers in the past year alone. During Q1, 2021, the worldwide tablet shipments was recorded at 39.9 million units, which calculates to a growth of 55.2% YoY. The Chromebook market recorded a growth too, shipping 13 million units in Q1, 2021.

HONOR Pad 7 with 10.1-inch FHD display, 4G LTE, 5100mAh battery announced

Along with the HONOR V40 Lite, the company also introduced the HONOR Pad 7 tablet in China. It has a 10.1-inch FHD screen display with a resolution of 1920×1200, comes with an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P22T SoC with 4GB of RAM, runs Magic UI 4.0  based on Android 10, sports a 5MP rear and 2MP front cameras. Lenovo Tab P11 Pro with 11.5-inch 2K OLED display, Dolby Vision, quad speakers, Dolby Atmos launched in India

Lenovo today launched the Tab P11 Pro, the company’s latest top-end tablet in the P series in India after it was introduced back in September last year. It has an 11.5-inch 2K OLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600, that supports both HDR10 and Dolby Vision. Enhancing the media viewing experience are four JBL speakers with 2.5cc chambers and support for Dolby Atmos. It features 13 MP Auto-Focus + 5MP 120° dual rear cameras, 8MP dual front cameras for real-time background blur along with a ToF sensor for face unlock. Worldwide PC and tablet shipments reach 458.2 million units in 2020, 17% YoY growth: Canalys

In a report by Canalys, worldwide PC shipments, which include tablet shipments, has reached 458.2 million units during 2020, which calculates to a growth of 17% YoY. During the 4th quarter alone, the market shipped 143.7 million units, which is a growth of 35% YoY. Leading the market is Lenovo, followed by Apple, HP, Dell, and Samsung.

Worldwide Tablet shipments reach 47.6 million units with 24.9% YoY growth in Q3 2020: IDC

The worldwide tablet market continues to show impressive numbers, growing by 24.9% YoY in the third quarter of 2020, shipping 47.6 million units. Demand is still strong among people who  require portable computer for remote learning, work and leisure. In the lead, as usual, is Apple, followed by Samsung, Amazon.com, HUAWEI, and Lenovo.

Samsung has announced Galaxy Tab Active3 targeted at B2B segment. It is MIL-STD-810H certified to withstand drops of up to 1.5 meters with an inbox protective cover and it is IP68 rated dustproof and water resistant. It supports up to three generations of Android OS upgrades and is protected by Samsung Knox, defence-grade security platform.
