BBM for iPhone is here! Yes, for real. Here are some screenshots of BBM or BlackBerry Messenger running on an Apple iPhone 5 with iOS7.  BlackBerry announced few months back that it was bringing the BlackBerry Messenger service to iOS and Android and has kept its promise. The app is a free 30MB download which has gone live on the New Zealand iTunes app store as of now. It would be going live on the Indian App Store later today and will be available worldwide. You can either use your existing BlackBerryID (If you were using a BlackBerry device in the past) or create a new one. You need to verify the associated email account to get things working. Flipkart, one of the leading e-commerce platform in India has finally released a native Android app to shop easily. The app also offers voice search and barcode scanning to check for products, share the details with others and also add a widget to the homescreen. Flipkart launched eBooks app for Android last year. The app was released for iPhone, iPad and Windows Phone 8 devices last month. The Flipkart app would be available for other platforms soon. Flipkart also has a mobile site Flipkart Lite. Quickoffice for Android, iPhone and iPad now available for free to everyone

Google acquired Quickoffice back in June 2012 and made Quickoffice for Android, iPhone and iPad free for enterprise users in April 2013. Now Google has made these apps free to everyone, and all you need is Google account to use these apps. The app lets view and edit Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint files. Since Quickoffice is integrated with Google Drive, you can store and access your files across devices.Google has also updated these apps with new features including a new icon, ability to create .ZIP folders and view charts in Excel and PowerPoint files. Opera has also added 2 more OEMs, Symphony Mobile in Bangladesh and Colors Mobile in Nepal in South Asia region. Opera partnered with 7 Indian OEMs Celkon, Karbonn, Lava. Twitter for Android v5.0 Beta brings new UI, Navigation menu and more

Twitter introduced a closed beta at the end of August, now the app has received a major update that brings a completely new UI with separate tabs for Home, Notifications, Messages, Activity, Trending, Find People and Me. You can swipe to switch between these apps. There is also a Navigation menu for these with notification count that could be re-organized. It uses your Twitter background image as the background for this menu. These is also in-line image previews that could be disabled from the settings. Microsoft has finally released the Xbox Music app for Android and iOS devices. This lets you enjoy your favorite music from a collection of over 30 million tracks, discover new songs, albums, and artists right from your smartphone. Microsoft has promised that they would bring offline mode to Android and iOS in the coming months. Microsoft has also launched free streaming to Web player and Radio with unlimited dynamic playlist would be available for Android, iOS and the web player later this year.

Microsoft OneNote for iPhone and iPad updated to v2.1, iPad app gets SkyDrive notebooks

Microsoft has updated its OneNote app for iPhone and iPad to version 2.1 that brings several improvements including, om proved Japanese typing responsiveness, Automatic list detection that lets you spend less time formatting your content and lots of bug fixes. The iPad app  now has support for creating new SkyDrive notebooks and also now lets you  add, rename and delete sections. The iPhone app is now less than half the size in download and installation size. OneNote for iPhone and iPad got a major update back in July that brought lot of new features.

Evernote 5.3 for Android brings Document Markup, Announcements and more

Evernote has updated the Android application to version 5.3 that brings Document Markup that lets you overlay text, shapes, arrows, stamps, and more on top of images. This feature is similar to the Evernote Skitch. Premium users can now add annotations to any page of the PDF. This feature is available as a trail for limited time.  Now you can tap the bugle icon at the top of the homescreen to find Announcements that details product update information, tips about features and inspiring user stories.
