Xiaomi’s eco system company Huami just introduced new Xiaomi products – Verge smartwatch, Health Band 1S and its first Huangshan No. 1 SoC for wearable devices. Both the smartwatch and smart band are water resistant, and have continuous heart rate monitoring. The band also comes with ECG sensor to gather ECG data to identify health risks. The smartwatch has NFC support for payments.
Garmin India has launched fēnix 5X Plus Multisport rugged watch targeted at athletes and outdoor adventurers. The fēnix 5X Plus is the first wearable device that has a wrist-based Pulse Ox sensor to track blood oxygen saturation awareness at higher altitudes, says the company. It was introduced in June.
After the BIP and Stratos that were launched in July, Huami’s Amazfit has launched Cor fitness band and Amazfit Pace Multisport GPS Smartwatch with support for tracking 12 different sports. The Cor has 5 ATM water-resistant rating and the Pace has IP67 ratings.
According to the latest IDC report, the global wearable market continues to grow during the second quarter of 2018 (2Q18) as shipment volume reached 27.9 million units, up 5.5% from the previous year according to data. Amazfit BIP is company’s cheapest smartwatch under Amazfit range of smartwatches. Xiaomi has introduced new Quartz Watch under its Mijia or Mi Ecosystem. It is a hybrid smartwatch that comes with a standard 40 mm dial that is just 3.2 mm at its thinnest point. The small dial shows step count and connects to Android or iPhone over Bluetooth. Call notification, Reminder and Alarm with vibration. It has a stainless steel case, water-resistant body and a curved back.
