TAG Heuer announced the Connected Modular 41 Android Wear smartwatch which is the successor to the Modular 45 launched last year. Samsung’s Gear Fit2 and Gear IconX were one of the first devices with support for on-device music storage, now Garmin has introduced the first smartwatch that lets you store music for offline listening. It can store up to 500 songs so that you can connect a Bluetooth headset and play them when you are working out, without the need of a smartphone.

Samsung just launched the Gear Fit2 Pro fitness tracker with a new watch-style clasp and the Gear Sport smartwatch in India. Both these were introduced at the IFA 2017. The Gear Fit2 Pro has a 1.5-inch Curved Super AMOLED screen and built-in GPS and runs Tizen OS, similar to the predecessor The Gear Sport has a 1.2-inch Circular Super AMOLED Always On display and comes with GPS, Heart rate sensor and NFC for Samsung Pay. It has easily changeable standard 20mm straps.
Garmin has launched vivoactive 3, its new GPS-enabled smartwatch with 15 pre-loaded indoor and outdoor sports apps. It can monitor running, swimming, cardio or strength training performance, real-time and can also measure the elliptical, yoga, stair stepper, floor climbing, boxing and cardio workout performance.
Hybrid Smartwatches are gradually becoming a trend. They are a good combination of classic analogue watches with activity tracking features. Skagen, part of the Fossil Group, recently launched one such hybrid smartwatch dubbed as Skagen Connected. I had a chance to use this watch for couple of weeks and here are my thoughts in this review.

Apple recently announced the Watch Series 3 that supports LTE connectivity. However, it looks like there the smartwatch is facing issues with connectivity. According to a report from The Verge, the Apple Watch Series 3 struggled to connect to LTE and often linked to an unknown WiFi network instead.

Huawei unveiled the Watch 2 series that includes Huawei Watch 2, Watch 2 Classic and Watch 2 4G at at MWC 2017 earlier this year. Today the company has launched it in India. The Watch 2 features a sportier’ look with rubber bands and there is also a 4G version of it that comes with cellular connectivity that allows users to make and receive phone calls using SIM card.
