Micromax M2 is a new Dual SIM Music Phone from Micromax . The device does come in some attractive packing as we spotted at a store recently. The music is powered by a Yahama amplifier which also supports SRS WOW HD for playback. A highlight in the touch sensitive music wheel which lets you control the music playback without having to go into the menu.
And here I am with yet another fine picture gallery for you all, this time i had the Nokia C6-01 right in front of my lens! Nokia’s smallest Symbian^3 smartphone certainly has the looks and feel to impress, which comes into play even more when the georgeous 3,2″ Clear Black display is powered on. Perfect for everyone who wants a smaller smartphone, without having to worry about a 4″ screen fitting into the pocket or not. I won’t go into much detail, as I have my review up soon! In many of my posts about the Nokia E7, ever since I received my trial unit, I kept saying that “I don’t get it”. I don’t understand the purpose of the E7 or who will buy it or for what reason. The rationale behind my thought was that in terms of Symbian competition, the Nokia N8 offers a much more complete package, while in terms of QWERTY/Business competition, there are plenty of better options with Android on board.
However, saying something is not like proving it in an objective comparison of specs, so given that I have an N8, E7 and HTC Desire Z in my hands, I set out to take some pictures of all of them for you, and to do a specifications comparison table.

Very few devices have seriously impressed me in terms of build quality these past years. As mobile phones got larger and more sophisticated, many manufacturers moved to cheaper materials to balance the cost of the phone, and many other manufacturers simply failed to make a solid phone because of the bigger touchscreens that introduced more fragility to designs. For the past months, I’ve looked back at my Nokia E71 and wondered: will we ever see the same grade of heavy duty build with the modern industry requirements?
Thankfully, Nokia, in a time when everyone is questioning their ability to compete, whipped out the big guns and delivered two premium devices: the Nokia N8 and now the Nokia E7. With everyone focused on Symbian’s shortcomings, Nokia keeps proving that they know how to do phones: phones that work well as phones, that don’t creak squeak or rattle, phones that feel fantastic in your hands, phones you are tempted to caress and stare lovingly at for hours, phones that stand true to the legendary saying about Nokias “throw a Nokia at a wall and it’ll come back in your hand, fully working”. Samsung just made the much rumored Galaxy Tab 8.9 official at CTIA today and here are some official photos of the Android Honeycomb tablet. Samsung has managed to change the design of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 after MWC. Looks like the company was not happy to release a tablet thicker than the Apple iPad 2 to the market. So what did they do ? They felt that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 was inadequate to take on the iPad 2 and they did not stop there. They went and redesigned the whole thing so that it is only 8.6 mm thick and weighs 595g. The earlier model was 10.9mm thick and weighed 599 g. Did Samsung just surprise Apple ? About a month ago, I decided to take the plunge for a new Android device. My choice boiled down between the HTC Desire Z and the Motorola Milestone 2 that we reviewed earlier, as I want or more accurately need, a physical QWERTY keyboard on my phone. I eventually went for the Desire Z as the Milestone 2 wasn’t yet available in Lebanon, and I have always wanted to own an HTC device.

We had the chance to get close to the HP TouchPad Tablet running on webOS during MWC and although the device was a prototype , it was super impressive. It was really interesting to see webOS on a large screen and multitasking rocked on the TouchPad ( watch video below). the 9.7 inch display was utilized pretty well by the card interface of webOS
LG announced the Optimus Black at CES 2011 and we had a chance to play with this device at MWC 2011. The most interesting feature of the Optimus Black is the 4 inch NOVA display with a brightness of 700 nits making it one of the brightest mobile displays. The device is also incredibly thin at 9.2 mm and just 6.0 mm at one point. It also features WiFi Direct which means that you can transfer content with other WiFi Direct devices without the need of a wireless access point.
Here are some photos of the HTC Thuberbolt 4G phone for Verizon USA. The handset looks pretty similar to the HTC Desire HD apart from the big-red branding and the LTE chip it packs inside.

At MWC 2011 we got up close with the BlackBerry Playbook which is RIM’s Tablet running on the BlackBerry Tablet OS (QNX) . You can take a look at the photos of the Playbook below and boy ! it was pretty small in person compared to the photos you might see on the internet.
