
HTC, in partnership with Tata Docomo launched the Desire VC, Dual SIM (GSM + CDMA) phone earlier this month. Now Tata Docomo has announced details about the double talk time and free data offers for the phone. They offer 2GB free data per month for 1 year and double talk time (Rs.398) for 3 billing cycles for post-paid users with the new Diet 199 plan. New Pre-paid users would get Double Talk time on select recharges for 180 days and 1 GB of free data per month for 6 months. Existing users get 1 GB of free data per month for 6 months. Micromax has officially launched the Funbook Pro that went on sale last month. It has 10.1-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) display and is powered by 1.2 GHz Cortex A8 processor. It has 0.3MP VGA front-facing camera and 3G support via Tata Docomo Photon+ Dongle. In addition to their previous partners Everonn, Pearson and Vinti, they have now partnered with McGraw Hill for interactive study materials for students from class 1 to 12 that is available for purchase on micro SD cards separately. Samsung Galaxy Note shipments surpass 10 million units

Samsung has announced they have shipped over 10 million units of the Galaxy Note globally since the launch in October last year. Samsung announced this in the Galaxy Note 10.1 launch in Korea, that would go on sale today in both Korea and the US. The Galaxy Note crossed 1 million mark last December, 5 million mark in March and 7 million in June, after 7 months since the launch. The new feat took about 9 months. LG LTE smartphone sales surpass 5 million units globally

LG Electronics has announced that they have sold more than 5 million LTE smartphones globally. The global shipments of Optimus LTE crossed the 1 million mark earlier this January. With the launch of new phones new smartphones such as Optimus Vu, Optimus Tag, and Optimus LTE 2 that sold more than half a million units in the first 7 days. LG crossed the 3 million mark in May and 4 million mark last month.LG has also announced that the Optimus Vu has sold more than 500,000 units since March.
