Airtel launches 4G LTE trials in Hyderabad and Vishakapatnam

Airtel has launched its 4G LTE trails in Hyderabad and Vishakapatnam, after launching 4G trails Mumbai and Chennai last week. It is based on 1800MHz FDD-LTE band 3, which the company acquired last year. Hyderabad and Vishakapatnam become second and third cities in the country to get Airtel’s FDD-LTE service, after Chennai. Airtel currently offers TDD-LTE services in Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chandigarh and Amritsar. Samsung launched the Galaxy S6 smartphone in India last month starting at Rs. 49,900. We unboxed it recently, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. The Galaxy S6 is powered by a Octa-Core 14 nm Exynos 7420 SoC which has four ARM Cortex A57 CPUs clocked at 2.1 GHz and four ARM Cortex A53 CPUs clocked at 1.5GHz. It has 772 MHz Mali T760 MP8 GPU and 3GB RAM LPDDR4 RAM, similar to the S6 Edge. It has a 5.1-inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display and runs on Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop). Lenovo has launched S60, the company’s latest smartphone in the S Series in India. It packs a 5-inch HD IPS display, is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor with Adreno 306 GPU and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Vibe 2.0 UI on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has dual SIM support and 3G connectivity.
