Sony has announced the Xperia Z5, the company’s latest flagship smartphone at the IFA 2015. It has the same 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Triluminos display and is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 processor, similar to the Xperia Z3+ or Xperia Z4. It runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and has a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button. It also comes in Dual SIM variant as Xperia Z5 Dual depending on the market.
IFA is one of the most popular events in the mobile industry and the show has kick started today. IFA used to be Samsung’s home to introduce its new Note flagship, but the company has done that ahead of schedule this year.

Huawei has announced Mate S, the company’s latest smartphone in the Mate series at the IFA, as expected. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, is powered by a Octa-Core HiSilicon Kirin 935 SoC based on big.LITTLE configuration and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Emotion UI 3.1 on top. Acer has unveiled Predator 8 GT-810 Android gaming tablet at IFA 2015. The aluminum-shelled tablet has an 8-inch FHD display (1920 x 1200) and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Asus has announced VivoStick PC, a PC stick running full Windows 10 at the IFA 2015 in Berlin. This tiny dongle will transform your TV or monitor with a HDMI port to a full-fledged PC, similar to the Intel Compute Stick. It is powered by a Intel’s 14nm Cherry Trail platform, has 2GB of DDR3L RAM and 32 GB of storage, but it lacks an microSD expansion slot, which is a big disadvantage since Windows 10 itself takes half of the storage. Oppo has launched Oppo R7 Lite and Oppo R7 Plus, new smartphones in the R series today in India. The Oppo R7 Lite has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD AMOLED display, while the Oppo R7 Plus features a 6-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display. Both these smartphones have metal uni-body builds, are powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU and run on Color OS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). Acer has announced its new budget Liquid series of smartphones – Liquid Z330, Z320, M330 and M320 at the IFA 2015. All these share similar specifications that includes a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen, 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Intel has officially announced its 6th generation Intel Core processor family. The 6th Gen Intel Skylake is also based on 14 nm architecture, similar to the 5th Gen Broadwell processors, but this has a substantial change in the underlying silicon with new features and design paradigms, according to Intel. Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 (SM-T815Y), the latest tablet in the Galaxy Tab S series in India. It has a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display at QXGA resolution, is powered by a Octa-Core Exynos SoCs and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera without flash and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. It is just 5.6mm thick, making it the world’s thinnest tablet currently.
