Xiaomi has appointed Shou Zi Chew as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He was a former partner at DST Investment Management Ltd, which has invested in several companies, including Xiaomi. Before joining DST in 2010, he worked at Goldman Sachs. Shou Zi will support tech innovation, ecosystem development and global expansion plans, said the company. Gionee, one of the popular global smartphone manufactures has announced that it has expanded its retail footprint in India by partnering with Spice, The Mobile Store, Mobiliti World, Jumbo Electronics, Croma Retail and Planet M. “Gionee handsets will now be available across 1000+ stores and the brand aims to sell 35000+ additional devices every month immediately and scale it up at a constant pace in the coming future”, said the company.
