Apple has launched new iPod touch as expected. It has a faster 64-bit Apple A8 chip with the M8 motion co-processor for fitness tracking, compared to A5 chip in the previous generation. It also has a new 8-megapixel iSight camera with ƒ/2.4 aperture, LED flash, 1080p video recording and an improved 1.2MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and 720p video recording. Oppo has announced Mirror 5 smartphone, few weeks after it introduced Mirror 5s. It has a 5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) display, compared to 5-inch HD display on the Mirror 5s. Other specifications are similar, including a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 64-bit SoC, Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Color OS 2.1 ROM, 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has glass back, a metal frame and is just 7.65mm thick. Periscope for Android now lets you view recent broadcasts from a profile

Twitter’s Periscope for Android has received its third update (v1.0.3) that adds option to view someone’s profile for live and recent broadcasts from the past 24 hours and also lets you share them to Twitter easily. Previously, clicking a profile just showed option to follow or unfollow a person and their follower/following count. This is already available for iPhone. This update also brings in-app notifications for live broadcasts for users running on Android Lollipop. New renders of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus have been leaked thanks to a case manufacturer called ITSKINS. These renders more or less confirm the existence of the S6 Edge Plus which some sources had stated to be just a cooked up device. The renders show us the rough design, layout and controls of the devices.

Infocus launched its M2 smartphone in India back in March. Today the company has launched the Infocus M2 4G, the 4G variant of the smartphone with Snapdragon 400 SoC instead of MediaTek MT6582 in the 3G variant. Other specifications are similar, including a 4.2-inch (1280 × 768 pixels) 355PPI display, Android 4.4 (KitKat), 8-megapixel auto-focus front-facing camera with LED flash and 8-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED flash.
