Google will introduce successor of its Pixel smartphones later this year. We had already seen renders of both the phones. Now a new images of the successor of last year’s Pixel has surfaced. According to the VentureBeat, the phone codenamed Walleye will not have a 3.5mm headphone jack, come with front-facing stereo speakers and will be manufactured by HTC, even though the Pixel XL successor will be made by LG. SHARP has announced that it will introduce AQUOS S2 with bezel-less screen at a global event in Beijing on August 8, which will go on sale in China on August 14. It will come with a 5.5-inch display with a screen-to-body ratio of 84.95%, and the company says that it will be as compact as a 5-inch phone. OnePlus has started rolling out new OxygenOS open betas (Beta 12 for OnePlus 3T and Beta 21 for OnePlus 3) for the 3 and 3T phones that brings several new features including new parallel apps feature that lets you run a parallel version of the same app using a separate account. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has registered a case against the 31-year old Ola employee who is also the founder of Qarth Technologies that was acquired by Ola.

Samsung has announced Flagship 8 (SM-G9298), its latest premium Android Flip phone and the successor of last year’s W2017 (SM-W2017) in China. It got certified by TENAA back in May and has dual 4.2-inch 1080p Super AMOLED displays, so that you can use the phone even when it’s closed, has a 12-megapixel rear camera and a fingerprint sensor on the back.
Fitbit reported $353M in revenue, down 40% and sold 3.4M devices, up 14% sequentially in Q2 2017. The company recorded a loss of $58.2 million and a profit of $6.3 million. Fitbit has been working on a new smartwatch and it will be released later this year.
