Facebook security breach allowed hackers to control 50 million accounts

Facebook engineering team has clarified that it has discovered a security issue that affected almost 50 million accounts. It also mentioned that the investigation is still in its early stages but said that it’s clear that attackers exploited a vulnerability in Facebook’s code that impacted “View As” a feature that lets people see what their own profile looks like to someone else. Acer self-driving concept car with Luxgen S3 electric vehicle platform unveiled

Acer in collaboration with Yulon Group has introduced its self-driving concept car at the Taiwan Automotive Technology Innovation Summit 2018. This self-driving concept car comes integrated with Acer’s autonomous driving system with the Luxgen S3 electric vehicle platform. Both companies demonstrated their level 4[i]-ready self-driving concept car, showcasing their shared vision of AI (artificial intelligence) and autonomous driving technology. Update: A new press image of the smartphone has surfaced, thanks to @evleaks. This shows dual rear camera in the top centre with the glowing Razer’s iconic green triple-headed snake logo below it. The front part looks almost identical.

Nokia 7 Plus Android 9.0 (Pie) stable update finally starts rolling out

After confirming earlier this week that the Android Pie update for the Nokia 7 Plus is in final stages, Juho Sarvikas, chief product officer at HMD Global just announced that update for the smartphone has started rolling out, as the company had promised. The update for the phone was confirmed at the launch. Other smartphones will get the Pie update in the coming months.

Google Images will now come with Creator and Credit metadata

Apple hit with patent infringement lawsuit over iMessage and FaceTime encryption tech

Finnish holdings firm MPH Technologies has filed a fresh lawsuit on Apple in federal court accusing the company of patent-infringing with products including iMessage and FaceTime. MPH Technologies attempted to license its IP to Apple in 2016.  The lawsuit is being filed with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro with 6.26-inch 19:9 FHD+ display, dual front and rear cameras announced

After leaks, Xiaomi has officially announced the Redmi Note 6 Pro, successor of the Redmi Note 5 Pro in Thailand. The major change is the 6.28-inch Full HD+ screen with a notch, 19:9 aspect ratio and dual front cameras, in addition to dual rear cameras. Both these have AI features including AI portrait and AI scene recognition. There is also AI face unlock. Other specifications are almost same as the Redmi Note 5 Pro.
