vivo is preparing to launch the V70 and V70 Elite in India, positioning them as a convergence of design-led thinking and high-end engineering. By integrating technologies from ZEISS, Sony, and Qualcomm, the V70 Series aims to bridge the gap between lifestyle aesthetics and flagship performance.
Ergonomics and Aesthetics: The “Golden Grip”

The V70 Series departs from the bulky silhouettes of traditional performance phones, opting instead for a refined, flat-edge design.
- Form Factor: The devices feature a 6.59-inch “Golden Grip” size, designed specifically for one-handed use without sacrificing screen real estate.
- Build Quality: An aerospace-grade metal frame provides structural integrity, while 1.25mm ultra-narrow side bezels for the display maximize the display-to-body ratio.

- Color Palette: The lineup introduces a range of expressive finishes, including Passion Red across the series, a vibrant Lemon Yellow for the V70, and sophisticated Sand Beige and Authentic Black options for the V70 Elite.
Imaging: A Partnership of Sony and ZEISS

The V70 Series marks a significant hardware leap for the V Series imaging pipeline, says the company. Both the standard and Elite models utilize high-grade Sony sensors optimized through ZEISS’s optical expertise, it added.
- Telephoto Capabilities: The inclusion of a 50MP ZEISS Night Telephoto Camera (Sony IMX882) allows for 3X optical zoom and up to 100X digital zoom. This is specifically tuned for low-light environments, such as evening festivals or indoor ceremonies.
- Main Sensor: The 50MP ZEISS OIS Main Camera (Sony IMX766) features a 1.3 cm sensor size, designed to maintain color accuracy and stability during handheld shooting.
- Cinematic Video: The series supports 4K 60fps video with seamless transitions between 1X, 2X, and 3X zoom levels.
- AI Integration: Software enhancements include a dedicated AI Photography Suite featuring AI Magic Weather and the India-exclusive AI Holi Portrait, tailored to local cultural celebrations.
Performance

Beyond the camera, the V70 Elite is engineered for high-intensity tasks. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Mobile Platform, supported by LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It also has 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanning and will run OriginOS 6 with Android 16 and promises 4 OS updates and 6 years of security updates.
The vivo V70 Series will retain 6500mAh battery with 90W fast charging from the V60. The phones will also retain IP68 + IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
Launch date?
The vivo V70 and V70 Elite are expected to launch sometime in mid-February, and we should know the exact launch date soon.
