Google confirms list of Chromebooks that will get Play Store and Android Apps

Google started rolling out Play Store and Android apps for Chromebooks back in June last year. Later it expanded to more Chromebooks – Dell Chromebook 13, HP 13, Samsung Chromebook 3, and ASUS C301SA. Now it has listed Acer Chromebook R11 (CB5-132T, C738T), AOpen Chromebox Mini, AOpen Chromebase Mini, Asus Chromebook Flip C100PA, Google Chromebook Pixel (2015) and Samsung Chromebook Plus supports Android apps in stable channel. Meizu E2 with 5.5-inch 1080p display, 4GB RAM, 13MP camera with 4-LED flash announced

Meizu today announced E2, the company’s latest smartphone in the ‘E series’ in China, as it had promised. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P20 processor and runs on Flyme OS 6.0 powered by YunOS. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with 4-LED dual-tone flash arranged in the antenna bands that promises bright and clear images even in poor lighting conditions. ZTE has announced Blade Max 3, the company’s latest smartphone in the Blade series for U.S. Cellular and ZTE MAX XL smartphone for Boost Mobile in the U.S. Both the phones have a 6-inch 1080p display and have a fingerprint sensor on the back. The ZTE Blade Max 3 packs 13-megapixel dual rear cameras and a 4000mAh battery. The MAX XL runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) and packs a 3990mAh battery. Google Translate expands neural machine translation to Chrome and 9 Indian languages

Last month, Google announced that it will apply neural machine translation for translations of text in Hindi. Now, the company is expanding the neural machine translation for Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Malayalam and Kannada. Introduced in September last year, Neural machine translation translates whole sentences at a time instead of piece by piece. Samsung has announced that it will roll out software patches for its flagship Galaxy S8 smartphone after some complained of reddish tint on the screen and WiFi issue that doesn’t let them connect to WiFi networks. Samsung said that neither the screen hue nor the Wi-Fi issue were product defects, and that it was offering fixes simply for consumers’ comfort. Qualcomm Signs 3G/4G Patent License Agreement with Smartron, has over 330 licensees globally

Qualcomm today announced that it has entered into a 3G and 4G patent license agreement with Indian OEM Smartron. Under the deal, Qualcomm has granted Smartron a royalty-bearing patent license to develop, manufacture and sell WCDMA, CDMA2000, and 4G LTE complete devices. Last year Qualcomm singed 3G and 4G patent license agreement with several Chinese companies such as Lenovo, OPPO, Gionee, Vivo and more.
