Apple has announced a promotional discount on iPhone XR after it was launched in the country starting at Rs. 76,900 (MRP). Even though there is no change in the MRP, online retailers like Flipkart and Amazon.in are already selling the phone for Rs. 69,999. Apple introduced the iPhone XR last month, and as promised the company started pre-orders for the smartphone in several countries, including India. The phone will go on sale in 50 countries from October 26 at Rs. 76,900 (MRP) for 64GB, Rs. 81,900 (MRP) for 128GB and Rs. 91,900 (MRP) for 256GB through Apple Authorised Resellers as well as online stores. Apple last week introduced the Watch Series 4 and the new iPhones and thanks to the new innovative features like ECG support, Apple Watch Series 4 is seemingly becoming popular, according to Kuo. He predicts Apple Watch shipments will reach 18 million units in 2018, of which the Watch Series 4 said to account for 50-55%. One of the most anticipated features in the new iPhones of 2018 was Dual SIM support which has been a common feature in most Android smartphones. This feature was leaked in the iOS code base quite a while back, but got unveiled with excellent detail in the Apple keynote. Dual SIM was a feature which was limited to entry level or mid-tier smartphones until recent times when manufacturers like Huawei, Samsung, LG, OnePlus have been including Dual-SIM support even in their flagship smartphones.

Apple along with the iPhone XS series, also introduced the iPhone XR, a cheaper version with a 6.1-inch LCD 326ppi Liquid Retina display, which it calls the best LCD display ever made. It has the same A12 Bionic 7nm Chip, however this loses the secondary 12-megapixel telephoto lens while retaining the wide-angle lens. It has an Aluminum and Glass Design, comes with Face ID and is splash- and water-resistant, with IP67 ratings.
