Some iPhone XS and XS Max units not charging automatically even after plugging

Some Apple iPhone XS and XS Max users are reporting about their iPhones not charging automatically even after plugging in when the screen is off. Affected units require the screen to be on and re-plug in their cables for charging to begin. Google Chromecast 3 with refreshed design, Bluetooth support and improved Wi-Fi surfaces in live images

Back in August, we had heard that Google is working on a new Chromecast with Bluetooth connectivity and improved Wi-Fi reception. Samsung SM-G6200 with 5.99-inch FHD+ display, 6GB RAM, dual rear cameras get certified

Samsung SM-G6200 has been certified by TENAA in China after rumors. The certification reveals a 5.99-inch FHD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display without a notch, 2.2GHz Octa-Core SoC which could be Snapdragon 660 or 710, 6GB of RAM, 12-megapixel rear camera along with a 2-megapixel secondary camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. Huawei Y9 2019 with 6.5-inch FHD+ display, Kirin 710, 6GB RAM, dual front and rear cameras announced

After certification, Huawei has officially announced the Y9 2019 smartphone. It has a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with a narrow chin and high screen-to-body ratio, is powered by Kirin 710 SoC with 6GB of RAM, and runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.2, similar to the Honor 8X but this has a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 2-megapixel secondary camera to capture depth information in portrait shots and a 13-megapixel front camera along with a 2-megapixel front camera for portrait selfies, and both have AI photography features. After live images, the Nokia 7.1 Plus aka X7 has been certified by TENAA. This reveals a 6.18-inch Full HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio display with a notch, 2.2GHz Octa-Core SoC with could be the Snapdragon 710, up to 6GB of RAM, 12-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 13-megapixel secondary camera, probably similar to the Nokia 7 Plus, and a 20-megapixel front-facing camera. Microsoft, Volkswagen partner to power connected cars

Volkswagen and Microsoft announced that they are partnering to develop the Volkswagen Automotive Cloud, a dedicated global cloud platform that will provide digital mobility services across the automaker’s portfolio. Volkswagen Automotive cloud will be built from the ground up on top of Microsoft’s Azure cloud and IoT Edge platform as its technology foundation.

Apple wins patent infringement appeal against University of Wisconsin

Back in 2014 University of Wisconsin’s Alumni Research Foundation, or WARF has filed patent infringement lawsuit against Apple claiming that Apple’s A series chipset on iPhone 5s, 6 and 6 Plus smartphones infringed a 1998 patent for boosting the efficiency of integrated circuits. Apple was later ordered to pay damages of around $234 million.

Facebook security breach allowed hackers to control 50 million accounts

Facebook engineering team has clarified that it has discovered a security issue that affected almost 50 million accounts. It also mentioned that the investigation is still in its early stages but said that it’s clear that attackers exploited a vulnerability in Facebook’s code that impacted “View As” a feature that lets people see what their own profile looks like to someone else. Nokia 7 Plus Android 9.0 (Pie) stable update finally starts rolling out

After confirming earlier this week that the Android Pie update for the Nokia 7 Plus is in final stages, Juho Sarvikas, chief product officer at HMD Global just announced that update for the smartphone has started rolling out, as the company had promised. The update for the phone was confirmed at the launch. Other smartphones will get the Pie update in the coming months.
