Xiaomi Redmi 7 expected to launch in India alongside Redmi Y3 on April 24

We already know that the Redmi Y3, selfie-focused smartphone with a 32-megapixel front will launch in India on April 24th. Now the company has posted that it has shipped 7 million Y series smartphones since the launch, and also said that it has more surprises lined up at the launch hinting at number 7, so the company could launch the  Redmi 7 alongside.

Samsung Galaxy A60 with 6.3-inch FHD+ Infinity-O display, triple rear cameras and Galaxy A40s with 6.4-inch AMOLED Infinity-V display announced

Samsung this week introduced Galaxy A60 and Galaxy A40s, new set of smartphones in the Galaxy A series in China and Hong Kong. It packs a 6.3-inch Full HD+  Infinity-O  LCD display, compared to AMOLED Infinity-U screen on the A70, but this  is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 675 with 6GB of RAM, runs Android Pie with Samsung One UI, features a 32-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, secondary 5-megapixel camera for portrait shots and an 8-megapixel 123° ultra wide-angle lens, similar to the A70. Nubia Red Magic 3 Gaming phone with Snapdragon 855, 12GB RAM to be announced on April 28

ZTE’s Nubia brand has announced that it will introduce Nubia Red Magic 3, the company’s new Gaming Phone at an event at Beijing RNG e-sports center in China on April 28th. This comes after the Nubia Red Magic that was introduced back in April last year and the Red Magic Mars that was introduced  in November. BlackBerry opens BBM Enterprise for personal use as BBM consumer service is shutting down on May 31

BlackBerry today announced that it is making BBM Enterprise (BBMe), its enterprise-grade end-to-end encrypted messaging platform, available for individual use, as Indonesia-based Emtek who manages BBM for consumers has announced that it will shut down BBM consumer services on May 31, 2019. It said that users have moved on to other platforms, while new users proved difficult to sign on to BBM. Mediatek’s 5G chip is coming to India by end of 2019

At the China Mobile Global Partner Conference in Guangzhou, MediaTek introduced the first 5G baseband chipset, Helio M70. Today, Mediatek has confirmed that the 5G chipset will be arriving in India by this year-end with the shipping happening next year.

Reliance Jio reports Rs. 840 crore profit in FY Q4 2018-19, crosses 300 million subscribers

Reliance Jio has reported Rs. 11,106 crore revenue, up 7.0 % QoQ and 55.8 YoY and a net profit of 840 crore, up 1.1% QoQ and 64.7% YoY for its seventh quarterly financial performance for the period that ended 31st March
2019.  Jio reported Standalone earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of 4,329 crore, up 6.8% QoQ, EBITDA margin of 39%, and Standalone earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) of 2,585 crore, up 9.1% QoQ . OnePlus 3 and 3T Android Pie beta update released

After a leak, OnePlus has officially released the first Android Pie Community update for the OnePlus 3 and 3T smartphones, as it had promised last year. OnePlus 3 and 3T were launched back in 2016 running Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow). This is the third major Android update for the phones after Android Nougat in 2017 and Android Oreo update last year. The company has already guaranteed Android security updates for the phones till November 2019.
