YU recently announced that it will launch its YU YUPHORIA smartphone on May 12th. Today, we know that the upcoming model will have HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display, run on Cyanogen OS 12 based on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and come with 4G LTE support. YU Yureka will be up for grabs without any registration in a two-day open sale on May 6 and May 7. LG launched its G Flex 2 smartphone in India at the LG Tech Show in Delhi back in March. Today the company has announced that the second generation G Flex smartphone is available across India. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p curved P-OLED display and the smartphone can bend ranging from a radius of 400mm to 700mm across the front, back, sides and top-to-bottom edges. YU has announced that it will launch its Cyanogen OS-powered YU YUPHORIA smartphone on May 12th. The company already confirmed the launch the smartphone in Q2. The Indian smartphone market has registered an year over year increase of 21% however, quarter over quarter decline of 8%, as per latest report from Counterpoint Research.
Micromax has launched Canvas Laptab, its latest Windows 8.1 2-in-1 with inbuilt 3G SIM support. The company introduced a dual boot tab last year at the CES, which did not launch. This has a similar design, but it runs only on Windows 8.1 and has better specifications. It has a 10.1-inch (1280×800 pixels) IPS screen, is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor, has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with Office 365 subscription and also has a keyboard that has a touchpad so that it can double up as a laptop. Micromax has partnered with Amazon India to sell the Laptab. Asus Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) was launched in India earlier this month at Rs. Rs. 19,999 for the 32GB and the 64GB variant was launched at Rs. 22,999. The company did not mention about the 128GB variant, now it’s listed on Flipkart at a price tag of Rs. 29,999. The 64GB and the 128GB variants of the Asus Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) are listed as coming soon and the other variants are currently out of stock. This was spotted by gogi.in. Xiaomi sold 40,000 units of Mi 4i smartphones in just 15 seconds in the first flash sale today on Flipkart at 2PM. It received over 3 lakh registrations for the sale. Even though it is a mono speaker, you can pair two speakers for Stereo-mode. It comes with a strap to carry it easily. The SRS-X55 has powerful 30W stereo output and also has 20W subwoofer for an enhanced audio experience. Microsoft has launched Lumia 430 Dual SIM, the company’s most affordable Lumia smartphone till date. It has a 4-inch WVGA display, is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 SoC, runs on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim update, packs a 2-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera without flash and VGA front-facing camera.
