Uber has announced that it has expanded its service to seven new cities – Bhubaneswar, Coimbatore, Indore, Mysore, Nagpur, Surat and Visakhapatnam in India. Uber is growing rapidly in India by adding new cities every few months. It is already present in Bangalore, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh and Kolkata and Kochi in India. This is uniquely designed for Flipkart’s fashion category and will allow you to search for visually similar products on Flipkart just by uploading a photo. Ratan Tata, chairman emeritus of the holding company of India’s Tata conglomerate, has picked up an undisclosed amount of stake in online taxi-hailing company Ola.
Gionee, one of the popular global smartphone manufactures has announced that it has expanded its retail footprint in India by partnering with Spice, The Mobile Store, Mobiliti World, Jumbo Electronics, Croma Retail and Planet M. “Gionee handsets will now be available across 1000+ stores and the brand aims to sell 35000+ additional devices every month immediately and scale it up at a constant pace in the coming future”, said the company.
LG is all set to launch the G4 Stylus, the company’s latest smartphone with a stylus pen in India. It was introduced as G Stylo in Korea and was announced for global markets last month. The G4 Stylus has a 5.7-inch HD display, is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). HTC has announced that it will renew its lead sponsor partnership with NorthEast United FC for season-2 of ISL (Indian Soccer League) at an event in Taipei, Taiwan. TP-LINK has launched TL-WR720N, the company’s latest 802.11n wireless router that provides up to 150Mbps wireless connection with other 802.11n wireless clients. It supports up to 4 SSIDs so that users can set up additional wireless networks with additional SSIDs and Passwords for guests or friends. This ensures users are safe and there are no performance conflicts with different networks, says the company. Xiaomi has reduced the price of Redmi Note 4G in India. It was launched in India back in December for Rs. 9,999 and went on sale at the end of December. Today the company has announced Rs. 2000 price cut for the smartphone, which is now available for Rs. 7,999. 16GB and 64GB variants of the Xiaomi Mi 4 received a second price cut recently and are available for Rs.
