iBall has launched Slide Q27 4G, the company’s latest tablet with 4G VoLTE support. Even though it doesn’t have an earpiece, it supports voice calling via headphones or a Bluetooth headset. It has a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display, is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core Cortex A53 processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with a single LED flash and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Airtel today launched ‘V-Fiber’ broadband based on Vectorization in Chennai that offers speeds of up to 100 Mbps. Airtel already said that it will be offering ‘V-Fiber’ for all its existing broadband customers at no extra monthly cost and requires only modem change, which costs Rs. 1000. Now it has provided monthly plans that start at Rs. 999 for 50GB FUP limit and goes up to Rs. 4999 for 1TB FUP.

MediaTek MT2511 multi-function bio-sensing chip and MT2523 for fitness devices announced in India

MediaTek India has announced availability of MT2511 and MT2523, its latest System on Chips (SoCs) targeted at health, fitness and wearables devices. The MT2511 is the company’s first bio-sensing analog front-end (AFE) chip designed for health and fitness devices, and the MT2523 is designed for active and fitness smartwatches and offers GPS, dual-mode Bluetooth Low Energy, and a MIPI-supported high-resolution mobile screen.
