InFocus has announced that it has been awarded certification from the Government of India’s STQC (Standardization Testing & Quality Certification) for its Aadhaar-Enabled Iris smartphone. “Based on the testing results done by STQC, InFocus Smartphone has emerged as the most reliable and accurate biometric device with virtually zero error as FRR (false reject rate),” said the company. LG has finally sent out invites for the launch of its flagship V20 smartphone in invite, which is scheduled for December 5th, Monday. It is the first smartphone to go on sale with Android 7.0 (Nougat). It has a 5.7-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD Quantum display, a 2.1 second (160 x 1040 pixels) screen, similar to the V10. Airtel Payments Bank, a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel last week rolled out a pilot of its banking services in Rajasthan across 10,000 Airtel retail outlets, ahead of a full scale pan Indian launch. It already announced that it offers interest rate of 7.25% p.a. on savings accounts deposits, the highest in India. Today it announced that it will be offering one minute of talk time for every Rupee deposited, however this benefit is applicable on first time deposits only. Asus launched the Zenfone 3 Ultra and Zenfone 3 Deluxe smartphones at the Z3nvolution event in India back in August. Today the company has announced that both these smartphones are available in the country. The Zenfone 3 Ultra has a 6.8-inch 1080p display with 79% Screen to Body Ratio and is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 processor. The Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe has a 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display and is powered by Snapdragon 820 / 821 SoC with 6GB of RAM.
